Okay, so maybe I'm not old. (not in wolf years, anyway). And I am only grumpy some of the time. Wolf! Wolf! is the first book that I have both written and illustrated, and I am very excited about it! Before I made this book I worked as an art director. Some of the things I had a chance to art direct were; the movie Shrek, some of the attractions at Disney's Epcot, the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle, a bunch of commercials, a couple of television shows and some video games. It has been over 15 years since I have illustrated a children's book. That book was "Alice" written by Whoopi Goldberg. I am not sure why it took me that long to make another one. But the fine folks at Hyperion have asked me to make some more and I am thrilled to oblige. My next book, "Moonpowder" is due out in the spring of 2008, and I will be working on my third book this summer. I have decided to post some of the paintings from "Moonpowder" on my blog as I create them, so feel free to go check them out here.
